Classroom Management

My style of classroom management is positive reinforcement.  I try to reward appropriate behavior as much as possible.  This year, every student will be presented with their own “gum ball” machine.  Every time a student is caught doing something positive like following the rules or showing kindness towards their classmates, they will be able to receive pom poms.  Once they fill up their entire chart (10 pom poms), the students will be able to visit the prize box full of goodies!  Once their chart is full, every student will empty their pom poms into a large bucket.  When we get to the top of the bucket, our class will receive some sort of special treat!

Students will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively in groups to receive marbles.  This will also allow them to gain pom poms which can be added to their chart!

Once a month, one student who has shown outstanding examples of our learning expectations (SERVE, LEAD, LOVE and LEARN) will be recognized school-wide 🙂
